"ALIVIO ATHLETIC" SUEDE riding pad WBS channel & chamber structure, SLIM felt cushion - velcro-

The "ATHLETIC PAD" is our newest pad in the Alivio riding pad series! The Athletic - Slim series is padded thinner with 2.5 cm front/back & 1.5 cm middle and has anatomically narrower SLIM Velcro cushions. Suitable for those for whom close sitting contact with the horse is more important than absolute sitting comfort.

The anatomically cut riding pad ALIVIO ATHLETIC also combines the possibilities of a conventional riding pad or bareback pad with the advantages of a flexible saddle. And yet when riding it feels more like a riding pad.

The Alivio Athletic surface is made of non-slip genuine suede. At the end of the blade it has an area sewn with soft nappa leather to minimize the abrasion caused by the rider's thigh movement. The underside is equipped with a pair of Velcro SLIM felt cushions with a length of approx. 46/47 cm. With the help of these cushions, a WBS channel or physio structure is formed.
The cushions consist of a breathable soft felt cover and can be padded with inlays of different thicknesses as required and can easily be reordered depending on the intensity of use.
The scope of delivery includes 1 pair of PUR foam with a thickness of 10 mm.
The cushions are Velcro and can be positioned differently on the underside.
In the ATHLETIC series, the SLIM Velcro cushions are cut approx. 2 cm narrower to provide even better contact in the thigh area. This can be an advantage for very wide horses.
The pad offers the rider various adjustment and usage options.
The underside is deliberately not made of anti-slip material or neoprene, but rather, in addition to the felt cushions, is made of breathable, normal cotton fabric as is also known from commercially available saddle pads.
The Alivio Athletic has a V-strap fastening that is sewn deep into the vamp and does not run across the back.
This ensures even pressure distribution when strapping.
Equipped with a soft, practical leather carrying handle, exclusively for transport and 5 D-rings, at the front for attaching a saddle pad or at the back for example for a light rain cape, seat skin etc...

Note: Due to its thin padding, the Athletic Pad series generally has slight visible wrinkles in the suede when unused.
This is a natural appearance of the suede covering on the thin upholstery and is not a reason for complaint or technical disadvantage. When strapped to the horse, the suede again tenses and becomes tighter.

But this is what characterizes the quality of genuine leather.
Differences in leather thickness, structure and color should therefore not be viewed as defects but rather as a unique and fascinating characteristic of nature.
