PE foam (white):
The lightweight PE foam is a cost-effective alternative to felt and is not breathable.
The foam is rather firm and does not compress as much.
This material is particularly suitable as a large insert for physio and special documents in the lower pocket.
Thickness: approx. 20 mm
Cellular rubber/foam rubber (gray):
Shock-absorbing, good resilience (slightly springy + relatively firm) not breathable
Very suitable for padding and changing the saddle position if you want to raise the saddle at the front or back.
Thickness: approx. 5mm, approx. 10mm
The thickness can always vary by 1-2 mm.
Felt:
This breathable felt insert adapts well to the horse's body shape and helps distribute the rider's weight. The high-quality wool felt is pressure-absorbing. It is heat-regulating, does not bounce, absorbs moisture well and compresses very little. It is also ideal if you want to get more spine freedom via the saddle pad.
We recommend these insoles, for example, for heavy riders, endurance riders and trail riders for long tours. Also for horses that are very sensitive to pressure and have already had saddle pressure, for example.
It is mainly recommended as additional padding. This means that the very soft foam material ensures improved ventilation under the saddle and, in combination with another insert, should always be placed directly facing the horse's back, i.e. at the very bottom.
A spacer fabric is always suitable where good padding properties and the best possible ventilation for upholstered pads are desired. Due to the structure of the padding, no heat build-up can occur, even on longer rides. The structure of the spacer fabric also has good spring properties and therefore excellent shock absorption. The high resilience also speaks for this cushion insert.
The thickness can always vary by 1-2 mm.
