Our saddle pads are of course supplied complete with matching inserts upon request, but you can use these inserts to add additional padding to the saddle pad or replace existing inserts. They can be easily cut to size.

Memory foam, approx. 20 mm:

Our recommendation for more difficult saddle positions and riders who sit in the saddle a lot - including heavy riders or sensitive saddle positions. Highly shock-absorbing, pressure-distributing and also flexible.

Excellent for correcting local irregularities. Memory foam is very durable - the material “stands up” again and again and adapts ideally during use. Is also used in medicine, for example for bedridden patients! Thickness: 20 mm

PU foam, approx. 15 mm:

flexible and significantly more adaptable than cellular rubber, very good pressure-balancing properties, compensates for local irregularities (e.g. sebaceous glands in the fur). Thickness: 15mm

Cellular rubber, approx. 12 mm:

highly shock-absorbing, has little give and is relatively strong

Excellent for padding and changing the saddle position if you want to raise the saddle at the front or back. For example, on a horse with a very dominant, wide shoulder area, you can double pad the back of the pad to balance the saddle and prevent it from leaning backwards. If the horse is built over, additional padding is provided in the front area. Thickness: 12mm

Heavy-duty inserts approx. 20mm:

These padding inserts for saddle pads were developed for extremes. They not only have a pressure-absorbing effect, but also distribute weight evenly thanks to a polyurethane plate incorporated into cellular rubber.

The edges of the insert are softly rounded and flat, so there are no pressure edges even on long rides.

We recommend these insoles, for example, to endurance riders and trail riders for long tours. Also for horses that are very sensitive to pressure and have already had saddle pressure, for example.
Note: The heavy-duty insert cannot be cut by the internal plate and has a total length of approx. 55 cm

To balance the saddle position, we therefore still recommend our inserts made of memory foam, PU foam or cellular rubber, latex or felt

The dimensions of all inserts except the heavy-duty insert: length approx. 64-65 cm & width approx. 18-20 cm

The thickness can always vary by approx. 1-2 mm

Please note that you can find a suitable felt insert under the cushion inserts section in various thicknesses and also for cutting to size yourself.
