The Barefoot® 'Ride-on-Pad' Physio has a special, removable, padded underside. It is delivered with two different padding inserts (made of cellular rubber and soft PU foam) that can be inserted into the underside.

The insoles provide significant freedom of the spine and additional protection for the horse's back.

We therefore recommend the Barefoot® 'Ride-on-Pad' Physio especially for:

• older horses

• Horses with visible spinous processes and poorly muscled backs

• with regular use

• Cross-country rides

• Heavier riders

• very slim riders

Most bare back pads or riding cushions are more harmful to the horse than pleasant, because the straps run directly over the horse's back and "distribute" the weight over one or at most two spinous processes.

The Barefoot® 'Ride-on-Pad' Physio has a V-strap that distributes the pressure across the entire cushion via invisible bands.

We deliberately decided not to attach stirrups because standing in the stirrups would also lead to pressure at certain points.

The Barefoot® 'Ride-on-Pad' Physio is padded with different thicknesses of high-density foam and has a very good grip on the horse's back thanks to the Sympanova underside material. The microfiber top gives the rider good support even during quick movements and allows fine weight aids. The rider sits absolutely non-slip and securely, even without stirrups.

Thanks to the easy-care microfiber, the pad is very easy to clean: simply wipe with a damp cloth, machine washable at 30°. Even with heavy use, there is no color abrasion or discoloration of the material; the microfiber is insensitive to rain and moisture.

The strapping is stabilized by patches. The patches have an underside made of real sheep's wool and are therefore very fur-friendly, meaning the strapping does not chafe. For smaller horses (up to 150cm height) the patches are not necessary.
