The pull stop collar sits normally loosely on the neck without any tension on the leash.

As soon as there is tension on the leash ring, it contracts to the smallest specified neck circumference.

This means the dog is not choked, but still cannot wriggle out of the collar.

1. Choose the size so that you get as close to an average as possible in the respective size. Then you have a good game for adjusting a size in both directions! This average is the optimal measurement and should correspond to the measured neck circumference of your dog.

If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one as the leather always stretches slightly during use.

If you would prefer to pull the pull stop collar over your dog's head when it is loosened, please take the circumference of your dog's head into account when ordering. This does not necessarily have to be taken into account with a collar that opens. Especially if the circumference of your dog's head is significantly larger than the circumference of its neck.


2. The pull stop is then adjusted on the collar to the narrowest neck circumference of your dog,

where the collar should sit. So it contracts down to the smallest specified neck circumference,

without constricting too much.


Please note that leather is always a natural product and can give in slightly due to daily tensile load.

This is usually about 1-2 cm over time.
