Attention, new in the range, available immediately!
The new fur saddle “Andaluz Light” is covered with lambskin on the entire top.
The fur is firmly sewn to the needle fleece base of the upper part. (Cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, narrow nozzle, do not brush out!)
Inside the saddle there are elastic foam pads at the front and back (in the upper part), firmly sewn-in plastic inserts and removable PE inserts (in the lower part).
The top and bottom parts are connected with zippers to form a compact “whole”.
Between the layers there is a seat support that gives the rider additional support and a pleasantly deep sitting feeling.
You sit very comfortably and close to the horse.
Attaching Velcro straps is possible, but not recommended. (Observe safety instructions!)
Suitable for riders up to approx. 70 kg (trouser size 36-40) and horses with less high withers.
The “Andaluz Light” fur saddle is delivered fully assembled!
Colors: natural (black and mocha on request, delivery time 6 weeks)

Material:
The Grandeur fur saddle is a textile riding cushion with a saddle-like appearance. Its substructure consists of stable and durable “needle fleece”. We use needle tiles, which come from the floor covering sector and have been awarded the “Blue Angel”. It is the very best quality, made in Germany and harmless to health! We make the seat cushions from high-quality Australian lambskin. All colored skins (camel, brown, black and gray) are dyed.
Construction:
The Grandeur fur saddles are constructed in such a way that there is a free channel in the middle ( see construction of fur saddles ).
This “spine freedom” is not fixed by a fixed saddle tree but is only determined by the thickness and strength of the padding inserts on the right and left. Depending on the shape of the horse's back, the freedom of the spine can be more or less. The cushions can settle or give way over time. Upholstery that has become flat must be replaced!
Fit:
Basically, the fit of the Grandeur fur saddle is universal. There are no chamber widths or a specific back curve to consider. However, the saddle is not equally suitable for every horse! Horses with very high withers and/or a roof-shaped back may no longer have optimal spinal freedom. That's why it's very important that you try out the fur saddle before buying it to see if it fits your horse. Please contact a fur saddle dealer ! With individual padding and/or appropriate saddle pads, the Grandeur fur saddle can be well adapted to most horses!
Suitability and use:
The Grandeur fur saddle can be viewed as an alternative to “bareback” riding and/or the conventional bareback pad. It was not designed for hour-long rides (trail riding), riders weighing over 80 kg, light trotting and galloping. You should always keep in mind that this is a textile riding cushion which cannot offer the support and safety of a tree saddle.
stirrup
In principle, riding cushions and fur saddles are ridden without stirrups for safety reasons! The stirrup suspensions/straps on our fur saddles are intended solely to support your feet while walking comfortably while riding.
They are neither intended nor suitable for loading, providing support, mounting and dismounting, gaits faster than walking, light trotting or riding in a light seat!
To climb up, please use a stool or other climbing aid. If there is too much strain, the stirrup straps can come off the saddle.
Security
The Grandeur fur saddle does not offer the support of a tree saddle and can slip sideways if the horse moves unexpectedly! For safety reasons, you should not use the saddle to break in young horses (or horses that are otherwise unreliable in any way)! Please do not use the saddle if you are a beginner! For safety reasons, we can only recommend the Grandeur fur saddle for smaller children to a limited extent.
Cleaning:
The Grandeur fur saddle or parts of it must not be washed in the washing machine! If necessary, you can wash the lambskin seat by hand (e.g. in the bathtub) with a suitable lambskin detergent. Allow the lambskin to dry slowly. Do not hang it on the heater or in the sun. The best way to clean your fur saddle is with a vacuum cleaner! Please do not brush out the lambskin! The lambskin can also be easily cleaned with a vacuum cleaner when it is dry. Use a narrow nozzle when vacuuming!
