The new Grandeur fur saddle “Endurance Tomentum” is a robust and off-road fur saddle.

Its substructure was made from stable and durable needle fleece. Sewn-in plastic inserts give the saddle more strength and ensure better load and pressure distribution.


This only changes the “fur saddle riding feeling” slightly and, in our opinion, for the better.

On the bottom there are two different sized pockets on the right and left that can be filled with inserts. Included in delivery are 2 pairs of polypropylene inserts. These insoles are very strong and last a long time!


The spine freedom has been improved with this fur saddle. It is intentionally a little narrower to prevent the middle from being pressed down. Please check the freedom of the spine from time to time and replace any cushions that have become flat!


What is very important with this fur saddle is that the Velcro strips that hold the belt part in position must lie exactly on top of each other. If you take your fur saddle apart to clean it, make sure you reassemble it accurately afterwards! Please close the zippers carefully. Do not use force under any circumstances! Move the inserted narrow end piece all the way to the stop. Then it's really easy!

The new Endurance fur saddle can theoretically be ridden without a saddle pad. However, this is not recommended! You should use at least a thin pad to protect the saddle and horse's back.

Horses with difficult saddle weight (e.g. high withers or roof-shaped backs) may also require thicker pads.

Try what is best for you and your horse.

Commercially available stirrup leathers can only be attached with an adapter! Or use the FlowFinder straps, which are infinitely adjustable with an adapter.

The Grandeur straps are attached flat and can come off the saddle in the event of a fall!

The Grandeur fur saddle is a textile riding cushion with a lambskin cover and is not an alternative to a conventional tree saddle.

It can be viewed as an alternative to riding “bareback” or to the traditional bareback pad.


The Grandeur fur saddle was not developed and designed for hours of cross-country riding (trail riding), riders over 80 kg body weight, frequent light trotting and cantering in a light seat.

Although all of these things are possible, you should always keep in mind that it is a textile riding cushion that can never offer the support and safety of a tree saddle.


In principle, riding cushions and fur saddles should be ridden without stirrups!

Our Velcro stirrup leathers and adapters are only intended to keep your feet stationary while riding comfortably.

If you trot a lot and ride in a light seat, pressure points can develop on the horse's back!

The Velcro straps are not suitable for climbing! The Velcro material can give way or become fatigued if you pull too often.



For safety reasons, the Grandeur fur saddle should not be used for children, beginner riders or for breaking in young horses.
