Our new Spanish, baroque saddle "Companero" with a flexible leather tree impresses with a well thought-out saddle concept.

It behaves like a normal saddle when riding, is suitable for all horses but is also particularly recommended for horses that are out of season

From our own experience in training young horses, a flexible saddle has the advantage:

that the saddle can grow with the horse. Leather tree saddles are more flexible for the horse, but feel like normal saddles...

The leather tree consists of different layers of leather bonded together to a technically selected, specific degree

can absorb and distribute the load, i.e. the rider's weight. At the same time, there is still a certain amount of flexibility.

This combination then makes a technically sophisticated leather tree. In addition, the rider can choose from different cushion shapes available

and lengths influence the fit of the saddle in order to “pre-configure” the saddle as best as possible.

The Companero can be ridden with Spanish cushions as well as dressage cushions. It has 5 fastening rings for e.g

A pad with strip fastening at the front, or to hang the stirrups at the back and possibly attach light luggage.

The fitting can even be dismantled and the color changed if necessary.

In terms of price, the Companero is a very attractive alternative to much more expensive saddles or interesting if you are not yet sure

whether the Lederbaum concept convinces you.

How does a leather tree work?

A Lederbaum saddle needs to be broken in a bit so that it can optimally adapt to the back line of your horse!

To do this you have to ride the saddle approx. 30 - 40 times. The time it takes to form the saddle always depends on how intensively the new saddle is ridden. The leather tree molds itself to your horse's back through movement, sweat, moisture and body heat. Over time, the entire saddle settles a little, becomes more flexible and adapts. Many horses move more relaxed and relaxed directly under a Lederbaum saddle, as it can move more with the horse's movement. If the horses' seasons change throughout the year, for example in the grazing season, the saddle can compensate for these changes very well. And the saddle can be additionally adjusted using the Velcro cushions if necessary.
